At this time, all the quilts for sale here are small quilts, suitable for babies as crib-size quilts and as lap quilts, for example for the office or the car.

Now you own a quilt - how do you take care of it???
All quilts sold here have not been washed after completion unless otherwise indicated. Please read the following instructions to learn how to take care of your quilt and what to expect after the first wash.
Washing
All quilts can be safely washed in cold or warm water (up to 40 degrees celsius) on gentle cycle in the washing machine. I did try washing a quilt on 'hot' and on a regular cycle and it came out of the wash unchanged - no shrinkage.
Drying
You can hang your quilt to dry - it's good to avoid direct and strong sunlight to prevent colours from fading (this will happen over time and multiple, prolonged sun exposures).
You can also safely dry your quilt in the dryer - there is little or no shrinkage when using cold air. You can expect approximately 3-5% shrinkage if you use the hot setting on your dryer - this will give your quilt a crinkly feel and some people prefer this.
Note
All my fabrics (but not the batting) are pre-washed in hot water and ironed on the hottest setting to pre-shrink fabric, remove chemicals used to treat some fabrics during the dying process and to prevent colours from running in the quilt.
